Preventive Health Care Plans

When you bring your pet to North Paws Veterinary Clinic, we work with you to create a lifetime preventive health care plan. This includes a balanced schedule of vaccines (to protect your pet against dangerous, but preventable, diseases), and routine dental care (good oral health protects overall systemic health). We also provide internal medicine services, nutritional and behavioral counseling, general and orthopedic surgery, advanced diagnostic testing capabilities and much more. North Paws Veterinary Clinic offers preventative care plans for cats, dogs, puppies and kittens.

Each preventative care plan is tailored to your pet based on a variety of factors including age, breed and medical history. In general, plans include all vaccines for one year, diagnostic tests, and free office visits for covered services. Pet dental care can also be added to our preventative care plans.

  • The purpose of these plans are to provide affordable payments and are NOT pet insurance.
  • Plans cannot be applied to past visits.
  • Exams are included, but Urgent/ER fees still apply.
  • There is a one-time $99 set-up fee for starting each payment plan per pet. The fee does not need to be repaid as long as the pet remains on the monthly payment plan. If a pet goes off the payments and then restarts, the fee will need to be paid.
  • A $75 fee applies to cancellation of any care plan.
  • Once a care plan is cancelled, the balance refunded will be based on used items at full retail price, since package discounts no longer apply.
  • Plan items not used by end term date cannot be refunded and will no longer be valid. "If you don't use it you lose it!"
  • Plans are non-transferable to other pets.
  • Add-Ons can be added up to 2 months prior to the plan end date. Cost of add-ons will be divided into remaining months of plan.

Add-On Options - For Easy Monthly Payments

  • Microchip - HomeAgain microchips are recommended for all pets and greatly increases your pet's chance of getting home after being lost.
  • Urinalysis - Especially important in senior pets, pets with kidney disease, cats with inflammatory urinary conditions, and small breed dogs prone to bladder stones.
  • Dental Extractions - This includes the dental extraction itself as well as any additional anesthesia or medications associated with the surgery.
  • Large Breed Puppy - Puppies over 50 pounds require additional costs for spay or neuter procedures due to large size of pet.
  • Spay/Neuter - A spay or neuter can be added onto the Complete and Dental Plans for pets over 18 months of age.
  • FIV/FeLV Test - FIV/FeLV testing for at risk adult cats (such as cats that go outside, etc). Already included in kitten plan.

Vaccines

The plans include a single series needed for 1 year of each recommended vaccine for your pet.

  • Dogs - Rabies, Distemper combo, Leptospirosis, Lyme, CIV, Bordetella
  • Cats - Rabies, Distemper Combo, and FeLV (for kittens and outdoor cats)
  • Vaccines for individual pets will be determined by your veterinarian based on lifestyle, age, and health condition.

Puppy/Kitten

Kitten/Puppy plans include everything needed for one routine spay/neuter: pre-anesthetic bloodwork, anesthesia and monitoring, IV fluids, pain medications, and E-collar (aka "the cone of shame").

Additional fees apply to:

  • Complicating conditions such as cryptorchidism, estrus, or pregnancy.
  • Pets over 50 pounds at time of spay or neuter. See add-on options for large breed puppies.

Pets must be under 18 months of age to sign-up.

Dental

Dental care plans include everything needed for one routine dental cleaning: pre-anesthetic bloodwork, anesthesia, monitoring, IV fluids, ultrasonic scaling, polishing, full mouth dental xrays.

Additional procedures such as tooth extractions are NOT included, but are discounted 10%. See add-on options.
